Aikido Training

O'Sensei Morihei Uyeshiba (1883-1969)

Aikido is a traditional Japanese martial art created by Morihei Uyeshiba Sensei from his long experience of old Japanese martial and spiritual traditions.

His art became especially refined at his home in Iwama, and on his death, Saito Sensei continued the precise teaching of unarmed and weapons techniques in the Iwama dojo.

We are affiliated to an international organisation 'Takemusu Aikido Kyokai' which is committed to preserving the Aikido and teaching style of Morihiro Saito Sensei. As part of our connection with this group, we host regular international seminars with the only Shihan (master teachers), Paolo Corallini Sensei and Ulf Evenas Sensei, created by Saito Sensei.
