Founded in 1977 to promote traditional aikido, we have gone from strength-to-strength thanks largely to our senior instructor’s meeting with the late Morihiro Saito 9th dan shihan in the early 1980’s. This Aikido was so impressive that we adopted it immediately and have continued to study and practice it ever since, without deviation or modification.
My very close friend and mentor Dr Paolo Corallini 7th dan shihan Aikikai shares this view.
Recently he has created an international fellowship which is strictly of this view, The Takemusu Aikido Association. This means that we have many like-minded friends in many countries.
