Canterbury Takemusu Aiki Dojo
The instructor is Richard Madden (3rd Dan) and he started Aikido in South Africa in 1989. He moved to the UK in 2000 and continued his training under Sensei Andy Hathaway (6th Dan) at the London Aikido Club. When he moved away from London he founded the Canterbury Takemusu Aiki Dojo in 2023 in conjunction with the London Aikido Club.
Canterbury Takemusu Aiki Dojo has been dedicated to weekly classes of traditional Aikido practice since 2023.
Classes are suitable for everyone aged 16 and over.
Please feel free to turn up at any class and we will guide you through every step of the process. The cost for a class is currently £7.00 and free for an initial class.
Training is very carefully and thoroughly taught, particularly with regards to safety. Accidents are extremely rare, but as with all physical activities there can be a risk of injury.
